Mumford & Sons - Little Lion Man
Tremble for yourself, my man,
You know that you have seen this all before
Tremble little lion man,
You’ll never settle any of your scores
Your grace is wasted in your face,
Your boldness stands alone among the wreck
Learn from your mother or else spend your days biting your own neck
Muse, Powderfinger, Lily Allen, Eskimo Joe, Groove Armada, Grinspoon, The Mars, Volta, Ladyhawke, Dizzee Rascal, Karnivool, Peaches, The Temper Trap, Kasabian, Midnight Juggernauts, Rise Against, Magic Dirt, Mastodon, Lisa Mitchell, The Horrors, Bluejuice, Calvin Harris, Kisschasy, The Decemberists, Tame Impala, Girl Talk.
I really want to go. If only those David Bowie rumours were true…
Yes please.
I slept in, read a good book, baked an orange and poppy seed cake, started an assignment a week before it’s due (that’s a personal best), watched Beauty and the Beast and some Always Sunny, and researched a European holiday.
Plus I didn’t have to use my AK.
So all in all, a good day.
In 2009, St Andrews University announced that they would be sending a free copy of Mohsin Hamid’s novel The Reluctant Fundamentalist to all 1500 new undergraduates as part of a new incentive to “offer students a common topic for discussion and focus energies on reading and intellectual debate.”
“We are a university, we are about books, ideas, learning and debate this simply underlines our commitment to reading and discussion and allows us to offer all our new students a stimulating common experience as they join our community.”
This sounds like a really great idea. I wish UNSW had done something similar. If only to get a free book out of it.
The Kinks - All Day And All Of The Night
I’m not content to be with you in the daytime
Girl, I want to be with you all of the time
The only time I feel alright is by your side
Girl, I want to be with you all of the time
All day and all of the night
